Golspie Beach
Long sand-and-shingle beach on the NC500 where collectors find plentiful, very small sea glass ideal for jewellery.
Ullapool's shoreline on Loch Broom is steep and pebbly, running from the ferry terminal round to the point. It is better known for sea pottery than glass, but the NC500 sea glass writer counts it among their best beaches for interesting pieces. Take your time and dig a little among the stones.
Some sea glass (white, green, seafoam, amber), much of it patterned, and loads of sea pottery including blue willow stoneware. Best between the high and mid tide lines south of the ferry terminal; the slope is steep.
