Hello! We're James and El, sea glass "wannabe" hunters.
We’re the couple behind OceanFinds. Our love for the sea and fascination with sea glass have set us an ambitious mission: to travel the entire coastline of the UK, sharing our journey and discoveries along the way.
We dig into what makes each stretch of coast special, uncover the stories behind the sea glass we find, and write up every visit. Through OceanFinds we hope to connect with other sea glass enthusiasts and nature lovers, and give you a personal look at our adventures and the treasures we turn up.
How our beach guides work
We’ve listed sea glass beaches all around the UK, and now across the USA, Canada and Europe too. The ones marked “We’ve hunted here”, like Crosby and Seaham, are beaches we’ve visited ourselves, with a full write-up of what we found. The rest are community guides, put together from tips and reports shared by other hunters, with the sources listed at the bottom of each page. We add our own notes as we visit them.
