Whitby Beach
Experience Whitby Beach: historic abbey views, sandy stretches, and Gothic charm, ideal for family fun and cultural discovery in a picturesque setting.
Robin Hood's Bay is a wide bay of sand, boulders and flat rock scars below a steep old fishing village on the North Yorkshire coast. It is best known for fossils and jet, but local holiday-let guides list sea glass among the finds, and photographers have posted sea glass picked up here. The rock platform and its gullies trap small stones and glass as the tide drops back.
Sources mention sea glass alongside driftwood, jet and fossils, but give no detail on colours. Search the pebbly patches and gullies on the scars as the tide goes out, and keep an eye on the incoming tide.
