Saundersfoot Beach
Old coal-port harbour beach in south Pembrokeshire where visitors pick up clear, green and patterned glass around the harbour and Glen Beach.
Castle Beach sits between Tenby's harbour and St Catherine's Island, below the castle headland. Tenby isn't a high-volume glass beach, but the rocky and pebbly margins at the foot of the cliffs and the drying harbour foreshore give genuine finds, including old sea pottery.
Green, brown and white are usual, with blue, aqua, amber and turquoise occasionally, rare cobalt, black, lavender and red, plus glazed and patterned Victorian pottery shards. A visitor to South Beach found only a piece or two, so focus on Castle Beach's rocky margins and the harbour wall at low tide.
