There is parking available along the seafront at Long Sands and near King Edward's Bay. During busy periods, especially in summer, these can fill up quickly. Additional parking may be found within Tynemouth village, a short walk from the beaches.


From Newcastle, take the A1058 coast road towards Tynemouth. Follow the signs to Tynemouth and choose either Long Sands or King Edward's Bay, depending on your preference. Each beach area has its own access and parking facilities. Parking is available near both beaches, but it's advisable to arrive early during peak times to secure a spot.


Public toilets are available at both Long Sands and King Edward's Bay.
