Visiting Covehithe Beach

Getting there
From Ipswich, take the A12 north towards Lowestoft. At Kessingland, turn left onto the B1127 towards Wrentham. In Wrentham, turn right onto the A12, then soon after, turn left towards Covehithe following the local road signs. Park in the village and follow the footpath signs directing you towards the beach.
Parking
Parking is limited to the roadside in Covehithe village. Ensure you park considerately, without obstructing local traffic or driveways. From the village, a footpath leads you to the beach, which is a short walk away.
Toilets
Due to its unspoiled nature, there are no facilities directly at Covehithe Beach. The nearest toilets would be found in nearby villages such as Wrentham or Southwold.
Safety
Check the tide times before you go and head out on a falling tide, so you're never cut off. Keep away from the bottom of cliffs, wear sturdy shoes on rocks, and only take sea glass and other man-made rubbish: pebbles, sand and shells should stay on the beach.
